The elevator doors open and there it is, a lifesize black stallion surrounded by candles greeting guests. When would you see this... only at Bergdorf Goodman. The fashionable crowd decked out in leather, lace, and mesmerizing combos make their way down the hall to the main event... Linda's curated magical shop within the store at BG.

Installations of the wild ignite your imagination, part ballerina part contortionist clad in an exquisite bodysuit of lace and cutouts perform in one black-curtained booth, while the next outpost is more voyeuristic, giving you a glimpse of a makeup mirror and pink haired girl getting glammed up. Confused is this part of what is to come? Is this it? None of the above? Or just keep going .......

I meet up with BG Sr. Stylist Vanessa Sterbenz who greets me with a purse encrusted in jewels and shaped like a silver lightening bolt, “you gotta see this” and she is always right I had to see it touch it and inspect how it was made. We navigate the space admiring feathers, lace, crystals everything you would want to play with if you could.

We mange to grab a selfie with the most outrageous and wonderful Ashley Longshore the painter is my newest idol for her support of glitter, uniqueness, and F-yeah!

The night continues and embodies everything I loved about NYC back in the day.
