DIY Springtime flowers from Dollar Store
1. I got from the dollar store several types of .99 cent fake flowers. The small to medium roses I think work best, but try out what the selection they have you maybe surprised with how daffodils, small hydrangea make work.
2. I clean off and protect a work area so if the plaster drips you will not ruin the area. You can use even old newspaper or a cut open paper bag so the area says clean.
3. Then mix up a batch of plaster. NOTE: The plaster dries quickly so it is better to use a disposable container and spoon or fork to mix it with. I did about 50/50 or 60/40 of plaster and water. The consistency is ideal when it is like the heavy cream.
4.Then dip each of the flowers in to the plaster. Coating each one completely. You can use your hands or wear a plastic disposable glove and really make sure the flower is coated.
5.Once dry snip the base of the flowers and hot glue them on to boxes, picture frames or mirrors to make lots of great presents for Springtime décor or even get ready for Easter or mother's day. Enjoy!
